Asst. Nursery Manager

Position Description:

Thomsens Asst Nursery Manager requires an individual willing and able to contribute to a range of responsibilities.  As a team leader, they must understand and anticipate the needs of the nursery, taking initiative to stay ahead of the quickly chaning environment.  As a member of the nursery, this individual must be the example to others, willing and able to be involved with the day to day hands on work.  Responsibilities extend to multiple facets of the growing and yard operations; ensuring operations are carried out consistent with Company policy.  

Position Qualifications:

This position requires the capability to lead team members, work independently and be involved in the hands on aspects of growing, maintaining, and selling nursery stock.  Knowledge and experience with woody plant material and/or greenhouse growing is required.  Our candidate will possess a strong work ethic, desire to solve problems, and be flexible.  This position is full time seasonal for 2010 with a start date that is dependent upon qualifications.
